From day one our vision for Bixby Clothing Co. began with community and giving back. This is why a portion of our profits will go to a local Long Beach charity, or a donation made in honor of someone within our community.
WHO HAVE WE SUPPORTED?
Hopeful Hearts Inc. in honor of Xander
We have the opportunity to meet some amazing people. In the process, we came across Aly and her son, Xander, who was born with a heart defect that has required multiple multiple open heart surgeries. In honor of Xander, we made our first donation to Hopeful Hearts Foundation. To learn more about Xander and family, you can follow Aly’s blog.
Leukemia Research Foundation in honor of Kelly Sousa.
We had the opportunity to learn about Kelly Sousa through Brittanee, who worked with us on our CALI SHERBET shorts. Therefore, a percentage of our CALI SHERBET shorts will go to the Leukemia Research Foundation. Kelly is a mother, police wife, breast cancer survivor, crossfitter and dear friend. She was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and has been so strong in her battle, she is an inspiration to many.
A portion of profits from our shorts, THE ROSA , was donated to Barbells for Boobs in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Why Barbells for Boobs? Because they've used their platform within the Crossfit community to share their stories, and empowered other women to do the same. They also fundraise to assist women with the proper resources of detection, and with supportive services after diagnosis. Visit barbellsforboobs.org for more information.
